The workspace "examine" has implemented a number of functions that help to accelerate and to better organize the workflow.

In the work area "Examine" all relevant data of the patients and the examinations to be performed are combined on one screen. Each patient goes through several stages - the documentation happens either completely automatic or is simply done by touch screen or mouse click.

That’s how it can be viewed at any time, whether the patient has arrived, whether it concerns an appointment patient, how long he has waited, where he is currently located, what examinations have to be done etc.

This patient tracking should help you to improve the organization of your daily work and to always have an overview of the patient flow.

seamless integration

Our XR RIS, PACS & WEB software uses a common database - every RIS patient is also a PACS patient. Elaborate and error-prone interfaces between different producers (for example RIS from company A, PACS from company B and WEB from company C) are completely eliminated due to the uniform database. This ensures a clear and reliable identification and assignment and the consistency of the patient, image, dictation and result data is given implicitly.

As soon as a patient is registered, the patient and examination data is transferred directly to the appropriate modalities in form of a work list. At the examination, the images are automatically assigned to the patient. Incorrect entries (wrong selection of a worklist patient, "shooting" the images to the wrong patient, etc.), can immediately and easily be corrected again from any PC.

With the smooth integration of our XR RIS & PACS, every workstation becomes a RIS and PACS station. The workspace “Examination” contains both a picture viewer and a results viewer. The current images can now be inspected in terms of quality and all the role models and previous reports of a patient can be viewed. The included documenting functions allow an easy sending or printing of images, reworking of role models or burning to CDs & DVDs.

Necessary additional services (contrast agents, additional examinations, etc.) which emerge within the framework of the examination can be gathered directly in the work area “examination” - the response to eKOS takes place at the same time.

When taking an anamnesis, examination-specific questionnaires can be entered directly into a mask. The questions follow your individual guidelines and are optimized for fast, time-saving input (selection fields, yes / no fields).

The data collection "on the spot", by experienced RTs, guarantees meaningful, reliable results and more accurate calculations and statistics.

XR can read information about the start and end times of an examination. Patient tracking or the status assignment can be done completely automated and without manual intervention.

In addition, a number of further examination parameters can be selected out of the modalities. The radiation dose data or the sequence listings are automatically assumed by the respective examination device in XR.

The measured dose values are assigned to the individual examinations and they are precisely documented - the data will then be transferred to the findings fully automatically.

coordinated work

A built-in progress history shows all stages a patient passes including the waiting time and "processor" (sec., RT, doctor). 

It is easy to comprehend when and by whom the patient was registered, which examinations have already been done in which rooms, whether examinations are still open, have been deferred, have already been released for the diagnosis or have already been diagnosed.

An integrated feedback loop between RT & doctor enables an even better interaction and a more coordinated work.
